Company history

Celtic Productions was founded in 1997 by Michael Magan and Ross Killen to satisfy a company's need for an internet presence. Since that time, our organisation has evolved considerably and we now provide full-circle web services from consulting though to hosting. We pride ourselves on continually revising our approach to developing corporate websites in line with how the internet itself is evolving.

In the late 1990's the internet was a novel medium which, for corporate entities, was strictly optional. As the internet has progressed and the prevalence of broadband has spread, so much more is now expected, nay required, of companies if they wish to operate successfully using this digital platform. The ubiquity of the internet means that is has become, for many, the primary means of first contact when searching for products and services. As such, for company's wishing to succeed in the corporate world, it is imperative to have a suitable internet presence in line with the revised function of the internet and the philosophy of the company in question.

At Celtic Productions, we strive to maintain an accurate vision of the evolving internet whilst understanding our clients' core business activity. Understanding both the aims of the corporation and the modern internet consumer we are able to provide valuable consultancy services, solid technical implementations and ongoing partnership packages to a wide demographic.

How valuable? We always strive to offer value in our services. As any economist will tell you, there's little point in spending $5,000 on a website that only produces an extra $100 a year at the margin, particularly if your nominal IRR is more at the 15% mark. For any CFO of a content heavy site which produces revenue directly (through advertising or direct sales), it is very easy to figure what the return on investment (ROI) of an upgraded website is. However, if your website isn't designed to produce revenue directly but only to serve as a portal to a larger, off-line business (an accountancy firm for example) it will be more difficult to measure the ROI. The delta (increase in revenues) could be slight for some organisations while vast for others. We are able to offer a crisp analysis of your business and how it might utilise the evolved internet and the evolved internet consumer to its full potential.
