Celtic Productions offers a few different content management systems or CMS's. Your choice of CMS will depend on a few factors, notably price, flexibility, scalability, branding and ease-of-use. Celtic Productions provide to many of our clients the use of our CRUD CMS system. CRUD is a familiar acronym in the software development industry. It stands for Create, Read, Update and Delete, the 4 core operations of manipulating data.
Effectively our system plugs into our customer's database and from the database structure, it produces a PHP library which can be used to manipulate the records in the database. It also produces a permission based back-end administration area which is user-friendly and branded for a specific customer. This back-end administration area allows for multiple user roles and so it makes our CRUD CMS the perfect choice for companies needing a quick, light and robust content management system.
For more industrial uses, we recommend the use of Typo3. Typo3 is one of the oldest and best open source content management systems on the market. First of all, it's free. That makes a big difference because the only cost to you, the client, is in the initial setup. Typo3 offers full flexibility and extendability while featuring an accomplished set of ready-made interfaces, functions and modules. We prefer providing Typo3 to our clients over Joomla! or Mambo. While these are good systems, we find that our own bespoke CRUD CMS and Typo3 offer the greatest flexibility.
